WHAT IS AKT?

AKT is a full-body workout that combines cardio  intervals with strength and toning. Every class works the entire body, from all angles and in all planes of motion for a truly efficient workout. Backed by science, influenced from dance based workouts and numerous exercise modalities, all class content works together to focus on results.

What is our Free Intro to AKT Class?

If you’re a first-timer to AKT, our Intro to AKT Class is a great place to start! discovering all of the benefits of our four signature classes: DANCE, BANDS, CIRCUIT, and TONE. This class is specifically designed for first-timers to walk you through the dance technique, our choreography, and give you the opportunity to ask questions!

AKT CLASSES

Intro to AKT Class

If you’re a first-timer to AKT, our Intro to AKT Class is a great place to start discovering all of the benefits of dance classes. AKT has four signature classes: BANDS, CIRCUIT, TONE, and DANCE. This class is specifically designed for first-timers to walk you through the dance technique, our choreography, and give you the opportunity to ask questions!

BANDS

In this class, you'll get your heart rate up with extra support and buoyancy as you perform some of your favorite HIIT exercises with the stability of a box. Alternating between dance sections and longer strength intervals, this workout will challenge your body on all planes of motion; as you focus on balance, agility, and full body conditioning, you will work your upper body, booty, and core.

TONE

In this class, we pair full-body strength with isometric movements to burn out large and intrinsic muscles on every plane of motion. At AKT we incorporate a combination of both pushing and pulling exercises to make sure we're training both sides of the body. Pushing exercises—like push-ups and chest presses, work the front of the body while pulling exercises with resistance bands or dumbbells work the booty. So if your current workout plan is all pull-ups, it's time to refresh. Hello, booty burnout! Finish class with a guided foam roll section to actively release the booty burn and aid in recovery before your next workout.

CIRCUIT

This is our full body circuit training class, also known as HIIT Training. Build lean muscle mass by combining plyometric full body power exercises, backed by science, with medium weight compound strength movements in 30-second and 15-second intervals. Hit that booty from every angle!

DANCE

This dance class alternates between choreographed dance sections and short strength intervals, putting your booty and cardio endurance to the test! We methodically break down each step to make sure you learn the entire dance by the end of the class. Burn out every muscle and leave feeling elated after this high-energy dance class.
